How long do the recipes take to cook?
This will vary between different recipes but our aim is to keep the cooking time as short as possible with most recipes taking 30-45 minutes to prepare and cook. We want people to love food and meal times as much as we do and part of that process is preparing the food yourself. Our plans still require you to actually use a measuring cup, chopping board and other such kitchen gadgets. Sure, preparing the ingredients may tack on a bit of time in the kitchen but it allows you the freedom to add your own twist to the recipe as well as keeping the costs down.
What are the meal serving sizes?
Do you have the nutritional value of each meal?
All of our recipes come complete with nutritional info and amounts of calories, carbohydrates, protein and saturated fat on the recipe cards. We have an amazing in-house nutritionist who ensures each meal is inline with the New Zealand and Australian food standards. The nutritional information we supply for our meals is based on the average intake of kilojoules for a New Zealand adult. Each meal contains roughly 2,000-3,000kJs and is calculated on an average daily recommended total of 8,700kJ per day over three meals. Please note that the nutritional information we provide is based on the ingredients listed with our recipe. If you decide to make adjustments, use different portion sizes or swap ingredients the nutritional information may not be accurate.
Do you cater to all dietary requirements?
At this stage, we offer menu plans for those who eat meat and for those who are vegetarian or vegan. We wanted to begin our journey by really nailing a couple of key menu packs first. We do understand that a huge portion of people have strict dietary requirements so please keep in mind that all ingredients are clearly labelled, and you will always get your weekly menu with the ingredients list and recipes in advance. This means you have the opportunity to substitute any ingredient that you can't, or don't want to, eat. our amazing chefs & recipe developers are always looking for new menu packs to introduce and so stay tuned for any updates.
How do I cancel my subscription?
When will I receive my menu packs and where can I find my past recipes?
Each week on Saturday morning at 7am you will receive an email from us with your weekly menu pack. These recipes are yours to keep and you can either download them to your computer or print them out. We are in the process of building a “Favourites” feature so that the recipes you love are even easier to find.
Do I have all of the necessary equipment to cook?
We like to keep things simple, so we will do our best to limit utensils to the basics. We're pretty sure you'll have all the things you need in your kitchen. Where possible, we provide an alternative so you can still create our delicious recipes even if you don't have some of the required equipment.
How can I give feedback on the recipes?
Your feedback is invaluable to us as we use it to make sure our recipes are continually improving and always to your liking. Each week we send an email asking you to rate your recipes from the previous week. The email will link you to our website where you can give each recipe a score and provide any additional feedback. We are also in the process of building a MenuMade app which will allow you to rate the recipes directly.
How do I get my groceries?
We provide you with a weekly meal plan, complete with recipes, nutritional information and a list of ingredients that can either be self-shopped, collected or delivered from your favourite supermarkets or food provider. With Menu Made you are able to source your meat from the local butcher, veggies from the farmers market while choosing your favourite brands of other common products.
Can I change my plan?
Absolutely. Our mission is to provide each user with a wide range of recipes based on their nutrition goals, but also the flexibility to meet their changing lifestyle and family needs. You can simply change your plan under the “My subscriptions” tab.
Does MenuMade have a mobile app?
We are currently in the process of building a dedicated mobile app that will be available to all users with an active subscription. You will be able to choose your meals for the week and have your shopping list sent for pickup or delivery. After signing-up on our website, simply download the app and login using your email and password.
What if I don’t want to use all of the dinner meals on my plan?
Our goal is to provide plenty of variety and inspiration for you to pick and choose the meals that most appeal to you and your family. You will have access to the current week’s plan, to previous weeks as well as your favorites. In the app, you can easily select the meals that you want for the week, and the app automatically creates a shopping list based on your selections.
How much does MenuMade cost?

Do you have breakfast, lunch and desert plans?
We don't currently have dedicated breakfast, lunch or desert plans but our talented team of chefs and recipe developers will always throw in an added extra or 2 to give you some inspiration.
